Susan Brady Konig has been a staff writer and columnist for The Washington Post Style section, Seventeen magazine, and the New York Post. Her articles and essays have appeared in national publications including Ladies' Home Journal, Travel + Leisure, First for Women, Reader’s Digest and Parade. For two years. Susan co-hosted a national daily radio show on Sirius XM.

She is the author of a bestselling memoir series. Her first book Why Animals Sleep So Close to the Road (and Other Lies I Tell My Children) (St. Martin’s Press) was called "hilarious, brilliant" by USA Today. Her follow-up I Wear the Maternity Pants in This Family (St. Martin’s Press) was described as “a witty collection of motherhood tales” by Publishers Weekly. Her third book, Teenagers & Toddlers Are Trying to Kill Me! (Willow Street Press) was the #1 Mother’s Day Parade Pick in Parade magazine in 2015.

Susan publishes a Substack column called Life in the 60s about everyday feats at midlife.

Susan is the also founder and president of the independent imprint Willow Street Press, curating and producing ten titles over six years with bestselling success. Genres ranged from inspirational personal narrative to humor to a novel about rich people behaving badly.

 

Susan strategized and individually curated each project to produce superior and highly readable books. The results often received Top Ten Amazon sales ratings, as well as major media attention.

Susan graduated from Georgetown University and earned an MA in Literature from NYU and an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is an adjunct assistant professor of writing and communications at CUNY.
